PB Swiss Tools meets REACH/RoHS requirements

In all cases, PB Swiss Tools behaves in conformity with the law. We do this out of conviction, because we wish to promote health and safety at work for internal and external customers. For this reason, we also, of course, comply with the requirements of the latest European legal bases.

«REACH», Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals came into force as a regulation on the 1st June 2007 and prescribes that in the EU, chemical substances in the case of annual production or in the case of imported quantities of at least 1 tonne, must be registered and tested for their effects on health and the environment. The burden of proof for the safe handling of chemicals is transferred to companies: these companies must present information about the properties of the substance and their risk management. All products supplied by us comply with the requirements of RoHS and REACH, and this has been confirmed in a legally binding way by external experts (www.reseachem.ch). You can rely on the fact that PB Swiss Tools today and in the future, will meet the expectations made by stakeholders of sustained development.

«RoHS», Restriction of Hazardous Substances designates EU Regulation 2002/95/EC, which has been in force since July 2006 to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic devices. Since this date, no electrical and electronic devices have been allowed to be put on the market, the homogeneous materials of which exceed limit values for the following substances:
Heavy metals: lead, cadmium, chromium VI, mercury
Flame retardants containing bromine: polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and diphenylether (PBDE)
