The mountain is calling: The Making of Pistenbully 2016

Did you know that our high-quality tools are also used to maintain and repair snow groomers? Our key vsual in the 2016 Communication is the Pistenbully fleet of Zermatt. Together with the ski slope preparation pros of Zermatt Bergbahnen AG, we photographed under sometime extreme conditions in front of a spectacular setting.

Location: Matterhorn, Switzerland.
The Matterhorn (4478 meters above sea level) represents Switzerland like no other mountain. 150 years ago, it was climbed for the first time. Its distinctive appearance is known throughout the world – just like the international ski arena. On more than 360 kilometers of ski slopes, it offers wintry adventures for skiing and snow lovers from all countries. The Matterhorn accompanied us in the media in 2015 – and in 2016, it is at the center of our pictorial world. For this purpose, we took pictures at the Gornergrat and at the Trockener Steg.

Pit stop after 600 operating hours.
34 vehicles belong to the Pistenbully fleet of Zermatt. During the winter season, they prepare 165 kilometers of ski slopes every day and consume 27 liters of diesel fuel per hour in the process. After 600 operating hours, it is time for maintenance – and this is the time when we come into play: With our Swiss precision tools, manual tasks can be performed even in extremely demanding environments and executed with efficiency and perfection. They fit perfectly in the hand and enable safe and fatigue-free working – in any weather and with timely unlimited warranty.

Freezing, windy, breathtaking.
With a biting east wind and temperatures far below freezing, we dragged our photography equipment all the way up to an altitude of 2950 meters. We were not alone: Mountain guides Christina Schlesener and Lukas Iten posed as models for the application examples of our brand name products; Pistenbully drivers Rudolf, Sämi and Stefan had full control over their vehicles. Also part of the group was Christina Weisser from the Biel agency erdmannpeisker. And, of course, our photographer: Alexander Magerl gave our tools a fantastic stage setting.
