Three Swiss companies combine their expertise to reinvent the multi-tool pocketknife

On the occasion of the Patrouille des Glaciers 2026 week, POMOCA, PB Swiss Tools and SWIZA announce a unique collaboration for the development of a new multi-tool pocketknife. Designed to support technical activities in natural environments, it is suited both for demanding alpine conditions and everyday use.

A complementary, interregional Swiss collaboration

This 100% Swiss collaboration brings together three companies from different regions and complementary fields, sharing a common vision of Swiss Made: precision, functionality, durability and practical innovation rooted in real-world use. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to developing concrete solutions in response to practical needs and current economic challenges.
Rather than innovating independently, the three partners chose to combine their expertise:

SWIZA, a Swiss knife manufacturer based in Delemont (JU) Responsible for the development, design, engineering and assembly of this new multi-tool pocketknife.

PB Swiss Tools, headquartered in Wasen (BE) Specialist in precise, quality hand tools, provides its recognized expertise in the development of multifunctional pocket tools and precision bits.

POMOCA, based in Chavornay (VD) Contributes its field expertise and in-depth understanding of the needs of ski touring and alpine sports practitioners.

This collaboration also reflects a close collaboration between French-speaking and Germanspeaking Switzerland, with each partner contributing its specific expertise to a shared product.

A multi-tool designed for real-world use

The result of this collaboration is a pocketknife integrating a bit holder directly into its structure, along with four interchangeable PB Swiss Tools bits. lt allows users to quickly carry out adjustments or repairs, whether during year-round outdoor activities or for everyday maintenance tasks, from home repairs to light mechanical work.
Compact and versatile, it accompanies users throughout the year and adapts to demanding environments as well as routine situations, without compromising precision or durability.

Swiss Made as a shared commitment

Developed, manufactured and assembled in Switzerland, this knife embodies a shared understanding of Swiss Made: not merely as a label, but as a tangible commitment to quality, durability and practical usefulness.
This commitment is reflected in concrete technical choices. The bit holder is made of highdensity polymer, designed to withstand torque exceeding 10 Nm, ensuring reliability under demanding conditions. A new stainless-steel rivet was specifically developed to enhance the overall structural strength and improve torque transmission.
The professional PB Swiss Tools precision bits, identifiable by their distinctive color coding with plasma coating, enable quick recognition and ensure precise compatibility with different screw types.
In line with a coherent industrial approach, the bit holder component also incorporates recycled plastic from the Tide initiative, reflecting a thoughtful selection of materials without compromising technical performance.
Through this project, POMOCA, PB Swiss Tools and SWIZA demonstrate that collaboration between Swiss companies from complementary sectors can result in an innovative and technically sound solution, firmly grounded in real-world applications.

Launch & Availability

The knife will be distributed through the respective channels of SWIZA, POMOCA and PB Swiss Tools, with market launch planned for the second half of 2026. Visitors are invited to discover the prototype at the POMOCA booth du ring the Patrouille des Glaciers week, from April 13 to 19, 2026.
