Swiss specialty retailers and online shops abroad are the first that are already connected. Support for sales partners and specialty retailers By using the new retail solution from nexMart, we are supporting the specialty retailers and are doing without our own e-shop. CEO Eva Jaisli: "We put a common e-thread from our website to the local specialty retailer. The system informs the prospective customer on our website of the specialty retailers in his region and their online shops, including the availability of the product. This is transparent, convenient and up-to-date." Tool4you – The personal gift The popular "Tool4You" application, with which you can individually design our branded products as personal gifts or promotional items with your own logo, has also been expanded: orders are now available over the website, and you will immediately receive an overview of the prices, terms and delivery periods. Under the "Highlights" category, the distinctive features and benefits of our tools are clearly presented. Video clips are becoming more prominent. Check it out! We heat with heat pumps. Rigorously.
Sustainability has a tradition in our company. We are very intent on implementing improvements and optimizations for the protection of the environment and resources. As early as 1979, Max Baumann Senior had the first heat pump installed in the Grünen plant – a pioneering venture at the time. At the end of 2013, three new pumps followed in Grünen – and with the start of the 2015/2016 heating season, we are also heating with a state-of-the-art heat pump in Wasen. Oil consumption Using synergies with waste heat Heat pumps operate on current. We use synergies for this purpose by utilizing the waste heat from the machines to operate the heat pumps. By means of cooling water, it is fed into a 100 cubic meter silo and cooled by the heat pumps. In the process, heat is being generated for heating. We also use the waste heat from our compressors for heating. Since 2014, we have also been receiving district heat from the local Wärmeverbund Energie AG Sumiswald. Rigorous energy management and fewer road trips Using rigorous energy management, we are optimizing the use of energy and recognize energy savings potentials. As part of the "Continuous Improvement Process", or simply CIP, we are continuously implementing measures that contribute to the sustainable handling of energy. We moved a majority of the production and manufacturing to Grünen in order to have more space in Wasen for finishing, logistics, training as well as the attractive presentation of our products. Among other things, this resulted in improvements in the production processes and significantly fewer trips between the two plants. Not only is that economically beneficial - it also saves our environment. Sustainability on all levels The introduction of lean manufacturing supports the sustainable development of our company. The conscious handling of energy does not limit itself to heating alone. If renovations are planned in the construction sector, we prefer sustainable solutions. Among other things, we are examining the use of electric vehicles for deployment between Wasen and Grünen. We are openly in favor of innovative solutions and are eager to lead the way with good examples – on all levels. Interview with Martin Leuenberger

Ms. Eva Jaisli, CEO of PB Swiss Tools, attended this exciting event, communicating with the guests about PB Swiss Tools vision and strategy. The audience, coming from the Shenzhen and Guangzhou region attentively followed the presentations held by Ms. Eva Jaisli, and Lemon Kong, Sales Director of PB Swiss Tools (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd. Diverse product demonstrations, especially of new products like Safety Hex key and Insider Mini attracted the attention of our guests, permitting them discover our tools unsurpassed quality and outstanding performance. Highlight: Dialogue with PB Swiss Tools In this part, Ms. Eva Jaisli delivered a candid speech, pointing out that PB Swiss Tools have been always strongly interested to hear from the different voices from customer’s side. In return, customers actively spoke out their expectation, like whether PB Swiss Tools could expand the product range in the further and develop new multi-functional & convenient tool-sets. The wonderful evening dinner was opened by the toast speech from Ms. Eva Jaisli, «Cheers! Let us joint hands together to move forwards…». With this toast in mind, all the participants rounded off this event in a very happy atmosphere.
From Emmental to Shanghai
Free trade agreement with China China is one of the most important foreign trade partners of Switzerland and one of the most promising markets for tools worldwide. On July 6, 2013, the free trade agreement was signed. It allows our country a simplified market access and promotes the investments of the trading partners between Switzerland and China. More than 600 Swiss companies in 1,000 branches of industry are represented in China as potential customers for PB Swiss Tools. Their revenues show a positive development. The demand on the Chinese market for high-end high-quality tools manifests itself in the successful sales of our brand products, such as screwdrivers or striking tools. Export-oriented family-owned company The Chinese market potential is enormous. We want to take advantage of this opportunity. For this reason, we are investing in our own trading company which tailors the product range to the customer requirements and the market needs in China. Naturally, we are also guaranteeing our exclusive service – which meets the outstanding quality of our tools – at our new location in Shanghai. Our extensive network of resellers takes care of that. We have always been an export-oriented family company. The positioning of PB Swiss Tools in China is of global strategic importance to us. It is an investment in the future.

New products for tire valves and plugs
In action – Tire valve screwdriver With the long blades, you can even reach valves that are difficult to reach, e.g. with trucks or cars. The short handle on the other hand is suitable for motorcycles, scooters or bicycles. Coin-Driver – Opens the battery compartment without any problems Only one, two turns and the plugs of car batteries are open without any effort. Other plastic and metal screws can also be screwed in and out without any damages. The tighter the spaces, the better suitable the stubby version is. When a coin was helpful in previous situations, the Coin-Driver now guarantees safe and convenient working. SwissGrip Griff – sicheres und ergonomisches Arbeiten The advantages of the SwissGrip handle are obvious. The Fraunhofer Institute in Germany examined the handle line of SwissGrip for us, among other things for ergonomics and functionality. The user tests confirmed the safe and convenient use of our screwdriver line. The outstanding functions and design-oriented quality is particularly highlighted. The right way to clean screwdriver handles
Material: CAB - Cellulose Acetate Butyrate This material is oil and gasoline-resistant, impact-resistant and made from renewable resources (wood). We use this material to produce different handle shapes: Classic – the universal handle that has proven itself a million times and is nearly indestructible Multicraft – the slightly ball-shaped handle with rough surface allows working even with oily hands Result: Handles of CAB material are used where conventional cleaning with water, grease-cutting agents or gasoline is required. Material: PP – TPE - Polypropylene – Thermoplastic Elastomer This handle consists of dual components (materials): a hard core with a non-slip shell. It is oil and gasoline-resistant, resistant to solvents as well as heat-resistant in the steam autoclave up to 140 °C. This material is used to produce the following: SwissGrip – non-slip even in wet hand ElectroTool - VDE-tested up to 1,000 V ESD –electrostatic discharging Result: Handles made of PP-TPE material are resistant to commercially available universal thinners, acetone and similar solvents. Hence, they can also be used in environments that have to be free from germs, such as in the medical field or in the food processing industry.
