The right tools for young talents
Never before has there been so many participants, with more than 150 professions represented at this year’s SwissSkills event. An attractive program of supporting events was on offer to visitors – in addition to interesting information on the professions on show, visitors were able to try their hand at many of the stations. Among the most-gifted young vocational athletes, however, the focus was on the vocational championships. Over the course of the five SwissSkills days, the promising Swiss talents showcased their vocation-specific skills in 85 different live competitions – and competed for the prestigious title of Swiss champion. The talented winners are kitted out As a proud sponsor of SwissSkills 2022, PB Swiss Tools was in attendance in Bern. In so doing, we were able to present gifts to the delighted winners of the Swiss championship, which was organized by the Swissmem and Swissmechanic associations. Gifts were presented to the following disciplines: Multi-skilled mechanics in turning, automation and CNC milling System and apparatus builders Automation technicians Electronic technicians Draftsperson In addition to our practical tool sets, the champions of these technical categories also each won a voucher worth CHF 1000 for our tools. Start anew once again: Integration into the workplace
Last Friday, the "Berner Sozialstern 2017" - for which 20 companies were nominated - was awarded in the city hall in Bern. The BEWO, the protected workshop and cooperative in Oberburg, suggested it to us - and we were among the three finalists. The prize was won by the Emmental company Blaser Swisslube, a company from the region, and of course we are pleased as well. Five to ten reintegrations per year at PB Swiss Tools Each year, by awarding the Sozialstern, the University Psychiatric Services (UPD) in Bern distinguishes companies that are exceptionally committed to the professional integration of people with mental disabilities. At PB Swiss Tools, we have been doing this for ten years, offering five to ten attempts for work reintegration each year. This not only benefits the affected people, whom we see as being very motivated and determined to seize their opportunity. This commitment also has a positive effect on our operations and our employees because it creates an inspiring and appreciative dynamic. Interested companies are welcome! We encourage other companies to engage in the integration of persons with physical and mental disabilities into the mainstream labor market.
